I am an executive and the founder of a vertical search engine software company – Vortaloptics, Inc. I am passionate about my technology and industry and much of my life is focused on this current endeavor. I am very goal oriented and like to tackle major projects that require creative solutions. I like working with smart people who care as much about accomplishing goals as I do and people who focus on the bigger picture rather than just the here and now. Family, faith and “quality of life” are of extreme importance to me and I continually work towards balance and harmony in these three areas. Everything I do I try to do to the best of my ability while practicing the golden rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated and the world will be a better place.

My first patent was awarded recently for the search technology I have co-authored. I am encouraged and hopeful that our second pending patent will be awarded soon.

I’ve always been hungry for knowledge and reading is daily exercise for the mind. I particularly read books on self-improvement, management, entrepreneurship, search, online marketing and spiritual growth. I like mountain biking, hiking, alpine skiing and golf. I also enjoy most types of music but specifically vocal trance and smooth jazz and I’m an avid collector of CD’s.

As for physical food and drink, my wife is a healthy gourmet and I’m her taster. As for my contributions, I have a nose for fine wine and on a recent trip to Scotland have become enamored with the deep and mysterious world of single malt Scotch Whisky. There is always something new to learn, isn’t there?
